Roth delivers keynote speech

[ DECEMBER 8, 2011 - BEIJING ] – JIM ROTH, an Oklahoma City alternative-energy attorney and former Oklahoma corporation commissioner, delivered the keynote address at an energy summit in Beijing.

The summit was hosted by The American Chamber of Commerce in the People’s Republic of China. Roth, who spoke on behalf of the National Energy Policy Institute, gave a speech titled, “The American Shale Gas Revolution: How Chinese Exploration and Production Could Be the Next Global Energy Renaissance.”

The focus of his keynote address was how the discovery and use of shale gas has helped provide cleaner forms of energy in Oklahoma. Roth, who practices law with PHILLIPS MURRAH, highlighted similarities between Oklahoma and the Chinese market and the potential to use shale for a cleaner Chinese environment and energy portfolio.

The National Energy Policy Institute is a joint project of the University of Tulsa and the George Kaiser Family Foundation and is based in Tulsa.
