Red Earth elects board members

[ NOVEMBER 5, 2009, OKLAHOMA CITY, OK ] – Red Earth Inc. has elected officers to the board of directors.

The new officers will oversee the operations of the Red Earth Museum and the additional programs of the organization, including the 24th annual Red Earth Native American Cultural Festival scheduled June 18 to 20 in downtown Oklahoma City.

Jonna K. Kirschner, deputy director and general counsel for the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, was elected president for a second term.

Other officers are Douglas R. Cummings, chairman of Cummings Oil Co., chairman; G. Calvin Sharpe, an attorney with Phillips Murrah, president-elect; Lou C. Kerr, president of the Kerr Foundation, secretary; and Ken Vanderslice, former city manager in Duncan, treasurer.

Dee Jerome, retired as manager of compensation and benefits for Devon Energy, is immediate past president.

Janet Dyke, associate director of AT&T Business Solutions Project Management Office, was elected to serve her first term as member-at-large.

Beth Barnes Hall, community volunteer, and Darius Jackson, business development representative for Tinker Federal Credit Union, were elected to three-year terms on the Red Earth board of directors.
