Fallin makes Election Board appointments

[SEPTEMBER 15, 2011 - OKLAHOMA CITY] – Stephen Curry, Thomas Prince, Jim Roth, Jerry Buchanan and Tim Mauldin have been appointed to the Oklahoma State Election Board by Gov. Mary Fallin.

Each member will begin serving immediately on an interim basis. They will each serve four-year terms that require confirmation from the Oklahoma Senate.

Curry, Prince and Roth are members and Buchanan and Mauldin are alternate members.

Curry of Oklahoma City is the brokerage director at Mass Mutual. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University and a master’s from Oklahoma City University. Curry is serving as a Republican member.

Prince of Edmond owns Prince Law Office and has served on the Election Board since 1999. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Arkansas University and a law degree from Oklahoma City University. He is serving as a Republican member.

Roth of Oklahoma City is an attorney at Phillips Murrah law firm. He served on the Corporation Commission and as the Oklahoma county commissioner. Roth earned a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University and a law degree from Oklahoma City University. He will serve as a Democrat member.

Buchanan of Tulsa owns JC & Co., a property investment company. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and a master’s from Honolulu University. Buchanan will serve as a Republican alternate member.

Mauldin of Norman is an adjunct professor at Oklahoma City University. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Coe College in Iowa and his master’s and Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma. Mauldin is serving as a Democrat alternate member.
