Eat Your Way Through Oklahoma City and Support Children of Incarcerated Parents

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma (BBBSOK) is set to host its annual fundraiser, THE Taste of Oklahoma City, on January 14, 2012 with festivities beginning at 5pm. The event, which features samplings from over 30 of Oklahoma City’s finest restaurants, will take place in the Renaissance ballroom of the Cox Convention Center.  Included will be a pre-game reception for fans attending the Barons and Thunder games which will entail 2 complimentary beverages and select appetizers from attending restaurants.

“Taste has become such a staple in the Oklahoma City community calendar after 33 years,” says Mike Thomas, Area Director. “We love finding ways to make it better every year. We are so appreciative of the guests and the restaurants that have made the event so successful. This year’s Taste promises to be one of the most memorable yet!”

Guests will enjoy local fare from restaurants including Rococo’s, Café Nova, The Mantle, The Melting Pot, Old Germany, Deep Fork Grill, Chica’s, Cuppies ‘N Joe, Nonna’s, Red Pin, Pearl’s Oyster Bar, Dirty Water Coffee Company and The Basement Modern Diner. Attendees can also participate in live and silent auctions while enjoying cocktails and dancing to live music by Lemma the Band.

Individual tickets to THE Taste of Oklahoma City can be purchased for $150 per person (or $250 per couple). Tickets for the pre-game reception are $30. Corporate sponsorships are available through December 31, and start at $1,500. Current sponsors are Chesapeake, Cox Communications, Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores, OG&E, CBRE, Dunlap Coding, Express Personnel, Independent Insurance Agents, OU Physicians, Phillips Murrah, and RK Black.
