In Memoriam

Douglas M. Todd of Oklahoma City died March 31, 2010. He was born Dec. 12, 1967 in Rockledge, Florida. He graduated from Kilgore High School in Texas and spent two years at Kilgore Junior College before attending the University of Texas at Tyler. Admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 1993, Mr. Todd graduated fourth in his class from Oklahoma City University School of Law, receiving American Jurisprudence awards in Civil Procedure; Conflicts; Contracts; Professional Responsibility; Torts; and Wills and Estates. He was a litigator who began his law career at the Rainey Ross Rice and Binns firm. Prior to relocating from Tulsa to Oklahoma City to join Phillips Murrah in 2002, he clerked for United States Magistrate Judge Sam A. Joyner in the Northern District of Oklahoma. Mr. Todd served as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Tulsa College of Law, coaching the Jessup International Law and Health Law moot court teams and teaching appellate advocacy and brief writing. He was also an adjunct professor at Oklahoma City University School of Law, teaching International Business Transactions. He was a member of the American, Federal, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma County Bar Associations.
