12 Oklahoma dealerships on Chrysler's closure list

[ MAY 14, 2009 - OKLAHOMA CITY, OK ] - Twelve Oklahoma Chrysler dealerships were notified this morning that they may have to close as the company restructures in bankruptcy court.
Lawton and Stillwater each could lose two dealerships. Atoka, Bartlesville, Clinton, Cordell, Durant, Enid, Stigler and Fairview each has one dealership in jeopardy.
Chrysler has said it will not buy back vehicles, parts or tools from those dealerships that close. Instead, the company is matching them with an existing dealership, said Eric Johnson, an Oklahoma City attorney familiar with the bankruptcy filing. That could flood the market with vehicles, he said.
